Are we humane enough towards those different from us, for instance, the hearing-impaired?
These children draw, communicate, they live in their own worlds. It’s much more difficult for them to develop their abilities. The characters of the deaf are formed within environments of overcoming difficulties of communicating with the people around them. The integration of deaf and hard-of-hearing children into the society is not that high. The environment plays a key part in the development of their personalities. However, we are hesitant to accept them into our world, our environment, we sometimes fail to show tolerance and understanding.
An unusual series – for equally unusual children.
