My name is Maryna. I have been pursuing art for almost quarter of a century. It helps me to express what really excites me. I have been doing photography for the last ten years. In the meantime, my children grew up, grandchildren were born. Today we live in different countries, but we are one family. And our origins are here in Minsk. How did it affect us and our destiny? How important is this for each of us?
Sometimes you can say one important word to yourself to really understand who you are, where you are from, what’s on your mind and what you need to live in harmony with yourself, other people and whole world… I started to wonder what word my daughter and my son will say. After — what would say people who, in my opinion, represent Belarus and my native Minsk.
So I started the work.
On the other hand, the exhibition is a great opportunity to get a direct response about your project.
Sometimes I take portraits. This is not a commercial matter for me, but rather personal. People always give a strong impression. I remember a lot of details, emotions.
The works, chosen for the exhibition, fully describe my thoughts and my visions. I did not restrain myself in materials or ideas. And I propose the viewer to become a co-author and say one important word.
